Tavistock Group announced today that premier active adult builder Del Webb is planning development of a gated, 700-acre neighborhood in the new Sunbridge master-planned community, pending final approvals from Osceola County. Del Webb Sunbridge would be the first announced residential neighborhood within Tavistock’s new 24,000-acre community.

Del Webb Sunbridge would be located near Narcoossee Road in northwest Osceola County and could include more than 1,350 homes.  The community is in close proximity to the burgeoning master-designed Lake Nona community, as well as convenient transportation choices.

Del Webb, a national brand of PulteGroup, Inc., is a pioneer in active adult communities and would bring more than six decades of homebuilding experience to Sunbridge, with unique homes and community features unmatched in the area.  Del Webb could begin development and break ground as early as the second half of 2018 – with model homes anticipated to open in the summer of 2019.

“We expect Del Webb, which has been the premier active adult homebuilder in the nation for over 60 years, to complete its approval process within the next 90-120 days,” said Rob Adams, Vice President Residential Development, Tavistock Development Company. “Their track record of creating vibrant, active places would be a wonderful addition to Sunbridge.”

While still in the early planning stages, Sunbridge will incorporate best practices and place-making principles from across Tavistock’s award-winning portfolio, highlighted by the innovative Lake Nona community, which ranks among the best-selling, master-designed communities in America and was heralded in Fortune magazine as “the future of cities.”
